Julie Herriges, MCKB, WRID, CKBR
Julie Herriges is a third-generation co-owner of Urban Herriges and Sons, along with her sister, Lisa. She has lived in the Mukwonago area for most of her life, and has two adult children. She likes to go motorcycle riding with her husband Jim, along with gardening, painting, and spending time with their two rambunctious poodles. Julie is a Wisconsin Registered Interior Designer (WRID) with a certification in Remodeling, as well as a Master Certification in Kitchen and Bathrooms. She also has an associate's degree in Applied Architectural Science. Julie specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodels, and uses computer-assisted design (CAD) to create virtual models of your soon-to-be remodeled space. This, along with her ability to communicate with clients, represent their interests, and lay out a plan, makes for a well-informed and smooth process that takes into account your budget and timeframe.
Lisa Herriges, Treasurer, Human Resources
Lisa Herriges is the Vice President and Treasurer of Urban Herriges and Sons, and the sister of Julie Herriges. She is often the first point of contact when a potential customer walks through the door. Lisa’s expertise lies in business administration, including record keeping, accounting, and human resources. With her deep knowledge of the administrative aspects of Urban Herriges and her personable nature, you will feel at ease and informed in the early phases of planning your home remodeling project. Outside of work, Lisa spends time tending to her gardens and home, reading, and spending time with her dog, Chloe.
Michael Schneider, Project Manager
Michael Schneider is the project manager at Urban Herriges & Sons and is the cousin of co-owners Julie and Lisa. He learned the role from his uncle, Bob Herriges, and now serves as the primary point of contact for clients during active remodeling projects. Michael keeps clients informed at every step, setting clear expectations and managing timelines with precision. He coordinates crews, oversees supply deliveries, and personally visits job sites to ensure high-quality workmanship and smooth progress. With strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the remodeling process, Michael helps clients feel confident and informed throughout their project, from start to finish.
Bridget Briggs, Architectural Designer
Bridget Briggs is an Architectural Designer at Urban Herriges & Sons, and has been an integral part of the team since 2018. She is certified in Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling through NARI, and is a Journeyman electrician. Bridget combines technical expertise with creativity to bring remodeling visions to life. She works closely with Julie to design custom kitchens, bathrooms, and other remodels, using advanced software like ArchiCAD and Twinmotion to build virtual models and 3D renderings. Bridget’s collaborative approach ensures that projects stay aligned with client goals, budgets, and timelines. Her attention to detail and commitment to ongoing learning make her a valuable asset to your project.
Joseph Herriges, CLC - Consultant
Joseph Herriges is a Certified Lead Carpenter and has spent decades blending design and craftsmanship into functional, long-lasting builds. He worked closely with his sister Julie on many project designs and helped shape the hands-on quality and culture that Urban Herriges & Sons is known for. Though no longer a full-time team member, he remains an on-call consultant for the company, lending his expertise where complex challenges require his specific skill sets. Joe now teaches project management at Waukesha County Technical College, continuing to mentor the next generation of tradespeople.
Dean Herriges, MCR, CKBR - Retired
Dean Herriges is the retired President and co-owner of Urban Herriges & Sons. He began his carpentry apprenticeship in 1966, under his grandfather. He became a lead carpenter before joining his father, Urban, in Mukwonago in 1972. After Urban’s retirement in 1984, Dean and his brother Bob took over the family business, growing its reputation for quality craftsmanship and service. He holds certifications as a Master Certified Remodeler and Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler from NARI. Though retired, he remains connected to the company and continues to visit job sites when needed, always offering his sharp eye and deep industry knowledge.
Robert "Bob" Herriges, CR - Retired
Robert “Bob” Herriges is the retired Vice President and former co-owner of Urban Herriges & Sons. He started his career as an apprentice mason in 1970, joining the family business in 1982 alongside his father, Urban, and brother, Dean. Bob brought expertise in residential masonry and eventually transitioned into project management, where he oversaw day-to-day construction and client coordination. Before retiring, Bob trained current project manager Michael Schneider, passing along decades of practical knowledge and leadership. Even in retirement, Bob stays involved, offering guidance and support when the team needs his expertise.
