We hired Urban Herriges to do a rather large remodel of our lake home. We are VERY particular and can’t recommend the Urban Herriges team more highly. Our project included turning an unfinished walk-up attic into a master bedroom and master bath and re-doing an outdated, 1950’s first floor plan that included the entry, kitchen and bath. As a result, we now have an amazing master suite and an open-concept main floor that maximizes our lake views. Chip and Joanna Gaines and the Property Brothers would be proud!
The entire team (Joe, Julie, Dean, Bob, Lisa and all of the craftsmen) were fabulous. Joe and Julie worked with us during the design phase, and really helped us make the best use of our space (we down-sized from a larger home making this critical). In the end we were able to get all of the kitchen and bath storage we needed and were able to find room for a 1st floor laundry which was another “must” on our list. After the design and during the actual remodel, the entire team made the process easy. The selection of all the design elements was actually a fun, creative and stress-free process. At times they even steered us to some less expensive options, all of which we ended up loving. Absolutely everyone who worked at the house was honest, kind, hard-working and did high quality work. They all became an extension of our family during the project.
The absolute best thing about the Urban Herriges team is their communication/customer service. They were always completely honest with us, kept us updated and responded promptly (literally within 5 minutes or less) to any questions or concerns. It sounds cliché but we felt like we were treated like family (one that actually gets along well…no dysfunction). We did run into some challenges with our rather large project (none of which could have been anticipated) and the response by the Urban Herriges team was amazing. They constantly told us to let them know if we weren’t 100% happy with anything. When we did identify concerns, they would say “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it and make sure everything is right.”. Amazingly, everything was always taken care of, no matter how big or small.
If you’re thinking of doing a remodel, don’t walk, RUN to Urban Herriges. You won’t be disappointed!
