Our clients wanted to expand their kitchen and living area as they frequently host gatherings of their large extended family. Along with additional space, the homeowners wanted to make sure there was plenty of natural light and outdoor views brought into the new area.

In our conversations with the homeowners, we learned that they had a lake cottage that they could walk to from their house. This was the reason for many of the family gatherings. The day would be spent at the lake and then the evening was spent dining and chatting at the house. It became apparent that a new mud room would make using the lake cabin even more enjoyable.

What was realized is a warm, inviting gathering area with plenty of room, lots of windows, a myriad of seating options and a very functional mudroom/laundry area. Our clients and their family are really enjoying the new focal point of there home.
